Spread of infection in the workplace - deep cleaning

A modern office with viruses and bacteria in the air

Large cleaning is something that most people usually have at least twice a year, but since Corona became a reality here in Sweden, many people have had major cleaning more often due to the need for a higher standard than normal.

There is no single action we can perform that magically puts an end to Corona, but major cleaning is a good start to reset the premises and something that we often carry out in connection with clean-up work especially with new customers.

Why is deep cleaning so important?

The daily cleaning carried out at the workplace contains a job description of what should be done in accordance with the needs of the business under normal circumstances. This has led to the fact that regular cleaning often includes extended descriptions with steps to reduce the risk of infection spreading in the workplace.

Even the major cleaning has been adapted and carried out according to a needs-based model, an example of this is that we normally did not touch keyboards before which we are now almost always asked to do although it takes extra long to clean keyboards that have not been cleaned before, it usually goes much faster next time.

We almost always start by doing a major cleaning when we get a new customer at the premises, mainly because we want the room to be zero when we take over with subsequent quality control to let us know that we maintain a high cleaning quality which is then followed.

When we work with clients who have global policies on how to secure the workplace and where employees have been divided into shifts where you work one week at home and one week from the office, for example, we carry out a light version and disinfect before the next shift arrives at the premises.

When some customers have more or less paused the cleaning completely for a long time, of course you also want to be able to come to fresh and zeroed premises when you return because the major cleaning sets a high standard which is then easier to maintain together with extended cleaning and cleaning of contact surfaces e.g.

What happens during a major cleaning?

Pretty much everything that is not done in everyday cleaning and deep cleaning and instead of removing a stain on a carpeted carpet, you do a proper carpet wash and furniture wash.

It may be a bit long, but if there is interest these are the most common points, then everything can be added at the customer's request such as keyboards, high-altitude cleaning, ceilings, etc. A major cleaning is normally designed according to the needs and conditions of the premises:
